Description

Vicuña is a silky, fine wool fiber from the undercoat of the vicuña. It is usually orange-brown in color or has natural colors.

STORY

In ancient times, vicuña fiber was known as the “Fiber of Gods”. Only Incan royalty were permitted to wear it. The animals have been overheated; therefore the species is classed as endangered and protected by the Peruvian and Bolivian governments. Lori Piano, LVMH- owned, is the only partner able to process and export vicuña textiles.
